Happy Day my Friends!
Perhaps you've asked yourself, 'Is it always a happy day for Coach Edna?' The answer is: 'It could be,' because I believe happiness is a state of mind. But is Coach Edna always in that happy state? Not always. However, the more I practice, the more I can stay in that space. If I had to estimate, I’d say I’m 80% in a happy state and 20% working through my limiting beliefs. It’s not always easy; like anyone else, I face challenges. But I’ve learned to see each challenge as an opportunity for growth, a chance to give my best, even in moments of uncertainty.

We live in a challenging world, and as we embrace those challenges we become more resilient, we increase our ability to adapt, we are better able to handle the present with self-esteem and confidence. Let’s use challenges as our opportunity to grow, transform, and work towards becoming healthier, stronger, and more thriving individuals, families, communities, and ultimately, humanity as a whole. What we do today ripples into the future. We can't wait until tomorrow. Our moment is NOW.
Let’s start this transformation with the only things each one of us has control over: our own life. You change the world by changing you. We become a healthier and stronger society, when you become a healthier and stronger individual. We become a thriving society, when you thrive. So, let’s build ourselves, let’s transform ourselves, so we can transform the world around us.
How do we begin this transformation?
There are three key areas: mind, spirit, and body—all interconnected. Today, I want to focus on enhancing the physical body. Why? Because your body is the vessel through which you experience everything on this Earth. Without it, you can’t engage with life. To live longer, to experience more, we need a healthy, strong, and thriving body.
And that starts with two essentials: nutritious food and movement. Say it with me: Nutritious Food and Movement! These, in the right quantities, are the foundations for a long, healthy and thriving life.
Let’s consider the analogy of a car. This comparison has been used many times because most adults have some experience with cars, or at least understand how they work. While someone reading this a hundred years from now may laugh at the mention of cars—since they might be a thing of the past—at this moment in time, they are still one of the most common modes of transportation.

The first analogy is simple: “Imagine a car without fuel. Will it move?” Of course not. A car without fuel is useless. The fuel for a car is like food for the body. Without food, our bodies can’t function for long either.
Now, let’s go a bit deeper. “What if a car designed for gasoline was filled with diesel instead? Will it work?” No, it won’t. Not because one fuel is necessarily better than the other, but because the car’s engine is designed to run on a specific type of fuel. Similarly, not all food is the right fuel for the human body. Just because something is edible doesn’t mean it’s beneficial or designed for the way our bodies process nutrients.
Now, here’s a thought that popped into my head this morning: “What if you have a full tank of gas, but the car is just sitting in the driveway? Will it move?” Again, the answer is no. Having fuel doesn’t make the car go anywhere unless... you start the engine. In the same way, eating food alone won’t automatically make your body thrive or grow stronger. It’s simply the fuel.
So, what does the car need to move? Yes, you need to start the engine. And what’s the equivalent in the human body? Movement. Movement is what starts the engine of your body and keeps everything running. Without movement, there’s no life. Your lungs are constantly expanding and contracting, your heart is always pumping, and your blood is continuously circulating throughout your body. Movement is the key. The more you move, the more you activate the energy stored in your body for essential functions.

In summary, if we want a healthier, stronger, and thriving society, it starts with each of us becoming healthier and stronger. And the foundation for that is what we eat and how much we move.
As we head into September, I invite you to take action. There’s no better way to kick-start your journey to wellness than by signing up for a 5K event. Many of these events are happening in October, giving you the perfect opportunity to use September as a training month. If you’ve never participated in a 5K before, this is your chance to set a baseline. Track your progress and watch yourself grow stronger with every step.
The time is now! Join me in taking that first step toward a healthier, stronger, thriving life. Let’s walk together, run together, and grow together. This is your journey to WellBeing—let's begin it now by moving towards a brighter future, one step at a time.
Are you ready? Let’s do this!
With Unconditional Love,
Coach Edna
