Navigating Life's Waves

Happy day, my friends,

And it is indeed a happy day…

With this, I don’t want everyone to believe that I always have a happy day. But indeed, after many years of practice, I have more days of happiness than not. After years of practice, I ride the waves of emotions with more agility and efficacy. Whatever emotions put me down for a week, now I can surface out of the mental drama in a matter of hours. I am able to see the perspective that dragged me down; I let it flow (get it out of my system with respect and love), and then I try to find a new perspective that makes sense based on my philosophy of life, based on my spirituality.

Most of the time, these emotions that drag us down come up based on triggers. Triggers that represent our own insecurities, our own scarcity, our own fears, and doubts, and it does not have to do at all with the other. The other person only serves as an instrument, in this case, the mirror, so you can see deep within yourself. So you can see your existing belief systems. I can assure you that there is nothing more humbling than being honest with yourself and looking at your belief system and accepting: 'This does not serve me.'

I know that moment, my friend, because in my life, I have had to face so many of those. Belief systems that trap you and condemn you, and those that do not serve you in any way. They are difficult to drop down. Yes, the moment is confusing when you realize what they really are... lies... illusions... and it hurts. It hurts like a part of your body is taken away..., but once you realize it is not true, you can’t go back, no matter how it hurts. You step into the other side of the line where there is no return. Yes, sometimes… it feels like 'what now?' You don’t even know what is the next step; you only know you have to keep walking… hoping it will be better.

And indeed, my friends, it does get better. When you follow that internal voice, call it your higher self, the Holy Spirit, the whispering energies, your guardian angel, whatever you want to call it… you are making steps in the right direction. Yes, the direction that leads you to meaning and purpose.

Awakening is a mysterious process… It is literally like riding waves in the ocean… Just don’t let yourself be cut by the waves because they will toss you... but somehow after the struggle, or after learning not to struggle and let yourself go with the flow, you surface with new understanding, with a new perspective, that makes you feel with this immense gratitude and you can say, 'Happy Day, my friends, because it is indeed a happy day.'

It is not that I don’t struggle. It is that I learn so much from my struggles, which are all in my mind, that I can’t be but grateful for so much growth. So much growth.

When you are facing your struggles, in the middle of the storm, try to find calm and peace. Even if you have no relationship with the Holy Spirit, call on to It. The Holy Spirit always answers, and with the Holy Spirit by your side, there is no need for fear or doubt. The Spirit is a safe harbor. Then ask: 'Father, what are you trying to show me through this? What do you want me to understand?' And there, my friend, is the answer because 'as you ask, it is given.'

I will let you marinate in these words, so you can think about them and you can put them into practice. I hope one day I receive a comment or message from you telling me your experience while practicing calm and peace in the middle of the storm, calling on to the Holy Spirit for a safe harbor, and asking the Father, the Universe, Source, Shiva, or whatever you believe in: 'What do I need to understand?'

I will say no more. I would like to hear from you.

With immense gratitude,

This is so beautifully written. It is from your heart—thank you for letting us witness your journey. It is easy to feel like others do not struggle as much as we think we do. We all experience similar emotions, it is only the way we navigate them that changes. I too have been through many moments when the waves have taken me to the depths of the struggle, but surrendering to the power of Christ has helped me learn to swim with the waves instead of against them. Thank you for the reminder that we are swimming together.
