June 26 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy Day, my friends!!!

And it is indeed a happy day. On Wednesday, June 26, 1974 - 49 years ago, I took my first breath in this existence. Today, after 49 years, I feel blessed.

Life is... and we shape it into good or bad. Over these 49 years, my life has taken turns and deviations from the straight path I once envisioned two decades ago. After an unexpected detour into darkness, I found myself stuck in a twilight zone of mirages and illusions made of smoke. Gradually, I discovered my way out by following a dim light that grew brighter as I kept moving forward, never losing sight of it. Eventually, I emerged on the other side.

This transformation was a gradual process, akin to moving from one end of the spectrum to the other. It's like transitioning from black to white, with an infinite gradient of grays in between that gradually lightens as we continue in the same direction. Now, my shade of gray is very light. Neither darkness nor light, nor anything in between, is inherently good or bad. They simply exist. Each person has the freedom to decide where they want to be on this spectrum, and preferences can change over time.

Perhaps I ventured into darkness because I wanted to experience its density, but then I realized I prefer a lighter state, like water: somewhat dense, yet fluid, adaptable, and capable of taking shape as needed. And that is where I find myself now, in a space that feels good. I have reached a mental state where doubts have vanished, replaced by a strong sense of certainty.

Some of you may have heard these ideas before, expressed in various ways: Mind over Matter, Your Belief Creates Your 'Reality,' Thoughts are the Precursor to Materialization. What can I say? They are all true, true, and true... Change your beliefs, and your reality changes. As I have modified my beliefs, my reality has shifted as well. And now that I understand this, there's no going back. Once you have tasted freedom, you can't return to enslavement. Once you have discovered the power within you, the external world holds no power over you. Once you have experienced unconditional love, your way of loving is profoundly transformed, recognizing each individual's free will, their capacity to learn and thrive, and believing in their abilities and skills to prosper. We are not here to save anyone; we are here to witness the greatness within everyone.

Yes, we can develop any skill in any direction along the spectrum. If you focus on fear, fear will grow. If you focus on doubt, doubt will grow. That will become your skill: perceiving fear and doubt in everything. I have chosen to develop the opposite skill. I have been training myself to perceive the good, the holy, and the beautiful in everyone and everything. Without a doubt, with complete certainty, I prefer these lenses. It makes life a blessing, pleasant, and peaceful. It allows the heart to practice gentleness, kindness, and humility, while infusing it with fun, excitement, and adventure.

Today, June 26, 2023, on my 49th birthday, I can unequivocally say that I LOVE my LIFE. I will make the best of it, living with intensity and gentleness, and spreading unconditional love, knowing that every person on this planet possesses the capacity and ability to share the good, the holy, and the beautiful within them. It all starts with a decision, a willingness to explore new belief systems and see how they fit into the new reality each one of us desires to create. I have no doubt you as well can create an amazing and empowered future for yourself. We all have this capacity.
