Transform your dreams into actionable plans with the SMART method.
A SMART goal is a framework for setting goals that can be tracked and achieved within a specific timeframe. Its importance lies in clarifying your ideas, focusing your efforts, and using your time and resources productively—all of which increase your chances of success.
SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound
Smart Goal Template:
Specific: (What exactly do you want to accomplish? Why is it important?)
Measurable: (How will you track your progress?)
Achievable: (Why is this goal realistic for you?)
Relevant: (How does it align with your long-term vision or values?)
Time-bound: (What is the deadline or timeline for achieving it?)
Smart Goal Statement: (Write a clear, concise statement of your goal.)
Example SMART Goal:
Broad Goal: I want to increase my body strength.
Transformed SMART Goal:
Specific: I want to be able to do full body push-ups.
Measurable: At this moment, I can only do 5 push-ups. I want to be able to do 20 push-ups in a row.
Achievable: I believe it is achievable if I commit to training.
Relevant: Being fit and strong allows me to maximize the potential of my physical body.
Time-bound: I will accomplish this in one month.
SMART Goal Statement: My goal is to do 20 full body push-ups in a row within 30 days by practicing 4 times a week.
